You are the hero of design, and I am your sidekick to support you through the pattern process. I look forward to the team we’ll create!
Let me assist you in checking:
- Correct usage of English language
- Pattern language consistency
- Checking finished measurements against pattern measurements and stitch counts
- Comparing written instructions to charts for consistency
- Ensuring pattern style meets the Craft Yarn Council’s Yarn Standards and/or your personal style

QUALIFICATIONS
As a native English speaker, I find great joy in assisting all kinds of knitting designers. I started knitting in around 2000 – I learned from a family member how to cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, and bind off. From there, I got my hands on every knitting book I could! Once I discovered Ravelry, I published a few patterns and began test knitting for other designers. Then I began to edit patterns for designers in 2015. I have completed Joeli’s “Learn to Tech Edit” online course, which is a popular self-paced course for learning the intricacies for editing patterns. Now I am nearing 100 edited patterns!
Within my personal knitting projects, I always have at least one sweater on my needles. I enter projects in our state fair each summer, and I am the proud winner of a few blue ribbons (most from sweaters, of course!).
Tech editing allows me to combine my love of knitting along with finding great joy and excitement in assisting knitwear designers. I truly love helping my clients prepare their patterns for publication, and I am so thankful everyday for the opportunity to collaborate with designers across the world.
